Daddy Help Me

Wherever we feel stuck in our lives, remember to reach out to our heavenly Father, who holds us in the palm of His hand, walks with us through every circumstance, and knows what we need before we ask.

Romans 8:15: "The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

"Abba Father" is a phrase from the Bible that refers to God as a father figure. "Abba" is described as a term of endearment, similar to "papa" or "daddy". Beyond our reverence for God, the Holy One, we can also speak to God as a child does to his father, confidently and securely.

Jesus teaches us to pray by sincerely communicating with God from the heart.

The lyrics to the song below are a prayer that we embrace the personal relationship God wants with us as our heavenly Father. May we have the courage to go to Him, open the eyes of our hearts to see Him, open our ears to hear Him, make any changes He may guide us to make, and have the faith to know that as His adopted children, He is always with us! "Daddy, Help Us" to be more like your son, Jesus Christ, in all we are and all we do! Amen!

Daddy help me
To rise above the fear
Daddy help me
When I cannot feel you near

I know I'm worthy
'Cause You made me as You are
Lift the darkness
So I see You as You Are

I know You are my friend
My protector 'til the end
Give me courage to choose
The path that leads to You

Daddy help me
When my life begins to fail
Daddy help me
So my faith will prevail

Help me hear You
When the world gets too loud
Help me see You
In the beauty all around

I know You are my friend
My protector 'til the end
Give me courage to choose
The path that leads to You
The path that leads to You

I just wanna come home
I know I'm not alone
I know there's work to be done
But any battles will be won
Any battles will be won

I know You are my friend
My protector 'til the end
Give me courage to choose
The path that leads to You
